These are seven “commitments” that the families must agree to follow as a covenant.
At any time, they are free to remind each other of these 10 commitments.
Not following them will not necessarily mean non-continuation in the program, however.
  1. Let’s be fair to others, and not be mean,
Let’s be kind and helpful, and always keen.
He has told you, what is good: do justice, and to love kindness, and to walk humbly with your God? – Micah 6:8 (paraphrase)
  2. Let’s share Jesus with others, we’ll do our best,
and to emulate His holiness, we’ll all be blessed.
Therefore, go and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit. – Matthew 28:19

  3. Let’s learn and work hard, let’s strive for success,
to help our family and community, let’s give our best.
In all toil there is profit, but mere talk tends only to poverty. – Proverbs 14:23

  4. Let’s spend wisely and save our allowance,
So we can buy what we want and have some change.
One who is faithful in a very little is also faithful in much, and one who is dishonest in a very little is also dishonest in much. – Luke 16:10

  5. We will be serious about our studies and future,
To make our future bright, we won’t be a quitter.
Whatever you do, work heartily as for the Lord and not for men. You are serving the Lord Christ. – Colossians 3:23-24 (paraphrase)

  6. Let’s serve in the church and do our assigned tasks,
So we can help others and make God happy.
Each of you should use whatever gift you have received to serve others, as faithful stewards of God’s grace in its various forms. – 1 Peter 4:10

  7. Let’s love the Kairos community and help others,
So we can make the world a better place, forever.
And let us consider how we may spur one another on toward love and good deeds. – Hebrews 10:24

This is a commitment between you, the Kairos Children’s Fund leaders, and God

We hope that you take this seriously.
